These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TrueHome application and website (the "Service"). TrueHome enables homeowners to upload invoices and receipts, track home-related spending, and receive AI-generated insights. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Use of the Service
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
Not Tax or Legal Advice
TrueHome provides tools and AI-generated insights for informational purposes only. The Service does not constitute tax, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for verifying any information and should consult a qualified professional before making decisions about tax deductions.
Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
Your Content and Data Rights
When you upload invoices, receipts, documents, images, or other materials, or otherwise record spending and home information through the Service ("User Content"), you represent that you have the right to provide that content and that doing so does not violate any law or third-party right.
You retain ownership of your User Content. We do not claim ownership of the invoices, receipts, or other materials you upload.
You grant TrueHome a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, modify, process, analyze, create derivative works from, and otherwise use your User Content to operate, provide, secure, and improve the Service, to develop and train our models and analytics, and for our other lawful business purposes. This license continues for content that has been incorporated into de-identified or aggregated data even after you delete your account.
De-identified and aggregated data. We may create de-identified and aggregated data derived from your User Content (for example, anonymized spending trends and benchmarks). De-identified data is data that has been processed so that it no longer identifies, and cannot reasonably be used to identify, you. TrueHome owns all de-identified and aggregated data and may use, retain, sell, license, and disclose it for any lawful purpose without restriction. We commit not to attempt to re-identify any de-identified data.
We will not sell or share data that identifies you personally except with your consent or as otherwise permitted by our Privacy Policy. Our handling of personal information is described in that Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by TrueHome and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including the accuracy of any AI-generated insights.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TrueHome shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
